Shaktipat Diksha
Shaktipat means shakti-giving. Diksha means
initiation. Shakti is the spiritual
power that activates the release of strong prana which
in turn, awakens kundalini.
There are two
aspects of shaktipat diksha with Durga Ma:
(1) receiving the transmission of shakti, and
(2) knowing what to do with it.
Shaktipat is sometimes said
to be like lighting one candle with another candle. When your
own shakti is ignited through shaktipat, you
will want to know how to keep it burning. The practice of Surrender
Meditation serves this purpose and is the means of spiritual
transformation and enlightenment.
Surrender Meditation is also called sahaja
yoga (natural union), natural meditation, and shaktipat
kundalini yoga.
